A bigger audience and a new product line
GrowthDay had live events, coaching sessions and personal development tools, with about 10,000 people using the early product. It needed the engineering foundation to serve a much larger audience. At the same time, the business wanted to introduce an enterprise product for small and medium businesses alongside the consumer platform.
Rebuilding the foundation
Hariom rebuilt the frontend and introduced build workflows that brought production builds down from 30 seconds to 10. His work then covered AWS infrastructure, new product features and a move from native mobile apps to a hybrid approach with server rendering. Analytics tools included Mixpanel, Rudderstack and Statsig.
Keeping the products connected
The enterprise product extended the existing platform. A shared core supported tenant isolation, enterprise billing and administration, so the two products could benefit from the same underlying improvements. On the infrastructure side, CloudFormation and Terraform made the AWS setup repeatable and version controlled. Hariom led a team spanning web, mobile, backend and infrastructure.
The reported results
His published case reports 400K+ platform users, a 9% improvement in checkout conversion and a 25% reduction in payment failure rate following the mobile migration. The infrastructure work is reported at 20 times the scalability with 25% lower cloud costs. The company also launched its enterprise revenue line for the SME market.
